Services for Richard J. Wolter, 63, of Guttenberg were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church and were conducted by Monsignor Donald Sweeney.
Mr. Wolter died at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, 1984 at Guttenberg Municipal Hospital.
Burial was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery with the following pallbearers: Keith Saeugling, Albert Schlueter, Sr., Tony Berns, Al Pfiffner, John Goheen and Dwight Waterman.
Visitation was at the Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home.
Mr. Wolter was born Mar. 17, 1921 in Guttenberg, a son of Arthur and Loretta (Eilers) Wolter. He was married June 12, 1944 in Hewitt, Wis. to Anna Hasenohrl, who survives. Mr. Wolter was custodian at St. Mary's School for many years before his retirement.
He is survived by his wife, Anna; two sons and three daughters, Dennis Wolter of Guttenberg, Mrs. Dave (Carol) Sellner of Epworth, John Wolter of Manchester, Mrs. Raymond (Linda) Hinzman and Kathleen Wolter, both of Guttenberg; his father, Arthur Wolter of Guttenberg; ten grandchildren; one brother, Gerald Wolter, and one sister, Rita Mae Jaeger, both of Dubuque.
