Elkader Register, Thur., 18 Dec. 1890.
Yesterday morning about ten o'clock occurred the death of Fannie the six years old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Leonard, of this township.
The little one had suffered for a long time from a complication of diseases. Some time ago one of her eyes became affected , and finally it became necessary to have it removed. After this painful operation she recovered somewhat, but was taken with a spinal and brain trouble, which resulted in her death.
The parents have the sympathy of all in their great bereavement.
The funeral will be held this afternoon at two o'clock; Rev. Perry officiating. Interment will be at the east side cemetery.
