Elkader Register, Thur., 01 Sept. 1898.

At the family residence in Highland twp., on Sunday, Aug. 28th, occurred the death of Ellen, wife of T. A. Boland, at the age of about 35 years. Deceased was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Ivory, of Cox Creek twp., and was married to Mr. Boland in 1882. Besides the distressed husband and her parents and friends who mourn her loss, ten children are motherless, one son only a few hours old. The last sad rites were held at this place on Tuesday. May there be some consolation for those who mourn.
