Mrs. Gertrude Wolter, wife of Peter Wolter, died Sunday April 10, 1898. She was born in Hesse Darmstadt, Germany, on Feb. 6, 1826, and came to America some time in the 50's. The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon April 12, 1898. W. H. Scholz conducting the funeral services. - Guttenberg Press.

OBITUARY.
MRS. GERTRUDE WALBAR.
Mrs. Gertrude Walbar, wife of Peter Wolter [sic], died Sunday April 10, 1898. She was born in Hesse Darmstadt, Germany, on Feb. 6, 1826, and came to America some time in the '50s. The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon April 12, 1898, W. H. Scholz conducting the funeral services.
[NOTE: She and her husbands are buried in the Guttenberg Cemetery, and photos of their monument are posted on the Iowa Gravestone Photo Project. The surname on the monument is Walber. The inscriptions for her first husband, Henry Biedenbach, and for 2nd husband Peter P. Walber are on the same monument.]
