Elkader Register, Fri., 16 Oct. 1896. Giard column.

Mrs. John Mann, who has been sick for some time past, died on Thursday evening, age 79 years. The funeral occurred at the M.E. church on Sunday, Rev. Schlung officiated. A large concourse of friends were present to attribute their last token of respect to one whom they all esteemed and loved as a neighbor.
