Elkader Register, Fri., 05 June 1896. Strawberry Point column.

Mr. Kidner died last Sunday at his home four miles east of town. He has been feeble for some time , but of late had been worse than common. Since his wife's death, his son Nelson, who lived with his father, has cared for him. Besides this son, he leaves two daughters, Mrs. Levi Noble, of this place, and Mrs. John Culbertson, of Duluth, Minn.
