DIED - Wednesday morning, Jan. 1st, 1896, the angel of death visited the home of Rev. and Mrs. F. L. Fisk, and the spirit of little Douglas, the second son, departed this life, at the age of two years, seven months and a few days. The little fellow had been a great sufferer from a combination of diseases in which medical skill and tender nursing has failed to combat. We are told to lay up treasures in Heaven, and what greater treasure have these sorrowing parents than one of their children. We know that the heartfelt sympathy of our people goes out to them, but how little it consoles the tender mother and affectionate father, whose hearts are aching with the heavy burden of grief. May they be consoled with the thought that their little one has only gone before to Him who said: "Suffer little children to come to me, and forbid them not, for of such is the kingdom of Heaven." The funeral will be held this Friday afternoon at two o'clock, at the East Side church, the services to be conducted by Rev. F. I. Stevens.
