Elkader Register, Fri., 22 Nov. 1895. Strawberry Point column.

DIED - On Wednesday, November 13, at Waterloo, Iowa, occurred the death of Judge Thomas Dunsmoor, at the early age of 22 years, 2 months and 26 days. His home has always been near town with his parents until this fall he went to Waterloo, and has since been employed as fireman on the Illinois Central Railroad. He was taken sick with what proved to be typhoid fever. His parents went on, being summoned to care for their son. "Judd" was thought to be improving and Mr. Dunsmoor came home. Judd's condition changed and on Wednesday the 13th, the Angel of Death came to his bedside and called him to follow. To this call there can be no refusal. He was well known in this place, and none knew him but to honor and respect him. He will be missed from our young people's circles, but has gone to form a link in the heavenly chain. The funeral and burial took place at County Corners.
