Elkader Register, Fri., 17 May 1895. Elkport column.
Michael T. Beddow, for many years a resident of Mallory twp., and an honorable and upright man, died Wednesday morning after a lingering illness. Tip, as he was called, was a whole-souled, good hearted man, and his many friends will be sorry to hear of his death. The funeral took place Thursday and was largely attended. The bereaved family have the sympathy of all in their sad affliction.

A brief notice in the Colesburg column of the Manchester Press, 5/23/1895, pg 2, very likely refers to Michael T. Beddow despite the initials T.A. being printed:
"T.A. Beddow, whose serious illness was reported last week, died Wednesday and was buried on Thursday afternoon. He leaves four sons, children of his first wife. The wife who survives him has two small children. He was buried near Elkport."
