We are sorry to chronicle the death of Max Zapf, of Garnavillo twp., which occurred Tuesday night. Mr. Zapf is one of Clayton County's oldest citizens and was a honorable and upright man. We have known Mr. Zapf for a number of years and never have we heard aught against him. The bereaved family have the sympathy of all in their sad affliction. May he rest in peace.
