Friday occurred the death of Mrs. Catherine Hansel, after a lingering spell of sickness, at the home of James Bowman, near Updegraff. Deceased was 69 years of age, the mother of a large family and well respected by all who knew her. She was an old resident of this neighborhood, her husband dying a few years ago. The funeral services were held at the Fairview church Sunday at 10 o'clock, being conducted by Rev. Fa_er, of the United Brethren church. Her remains were laid to rest at Brown's cemetery. She leaves a host of friends and relatives to mourn her loss.
