Elkader Register, Thur., 14 Mar. 1895.

At the family residence in Sperry twp., on Tuesday, March 5, occurred the death of Ann Scully, of apoplexy, she having been in poor health for some years. She was born at Mt. Mellick, Ireland, in 1830, and came to America in 1849. Aug. 15th, 1851, she married Timothy Glennon. In 1858 they came to Iowa, residing in Dubuque County two years and then moving to this county in 1860. Of the eleven born to them, three daughters and seven sons, with the husband and father, are left to mourn her loss. She preceded her sister, Mrs. John Finley, in death only two days.

The funeral services were held Friday at the Cox Creek church, Rev. Father Rowe officiating.
