It is our sad duty to announce the death of Fred Schofield, son of Nathan Schofield, Thursday morning, Aug. 31st, of consumption. About a year and one-half ago he was taken down with la grippe, from which he never fully recovered. He came home about two months ago from Dakota, where he had been for several years, and was deputy auditor for the county in which he lived. Fred was a bright, intelligent young man, of many excellent qualities, and to know him was to be his friend. His father, mother and sister have the sympathy of a large circle of friends in this their time of sorrow.
