Elkader Register, Thur., 27 July 1893. Elkport column.

Mrs. Borrett, mother of George and Alfred Borrett, died Sunday, after a lingering illness. The deceased was 73 years of age, and has been a resident of Volga twp. for forty years. The funeral took place Monday and was largely attended, Rev. Hansel officiating. The bereaved family has the sympathy of all in their sad affliction.
