Elkader Register, Thur., 19 Jan. 1893. Littleport column.

There was a funeral here Monday. A Mr. Thurn was buried in the Catholic cemetery, Rev. Dollard officiating.

(Note: WPA and a gravestone photo on the IGPP show Anton Thurn, 1868 - 16 Jan. 1892, buried in Sacred Heart cemetery. However, the date of this newspaper article is clearly as given above. Researchers will need to ascertain the correct death year.)
