DIED - At Dubuque, on Monday, the 17th, occurred the death of Bertha, wife of Henry Schumacher, and the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Meisner, of Highland twp., She was born Feb. 28, 1862, in Highland, and married Mr. Schumacher Dec. 8, 1886, who with two children, a boy and a girl, are left disconsolate. This blow falls most heavily upon the bereaved family by reason of its being the third married daughter whom they have laid away in the narrow tomb. Words fail us in our effort to express the sympathy of our people for the bereaved. The remains were brought here for burial yesterday, the services being held at the M.E. church by Rev. Seifert, attended by a large number of sorrowing friends.
