Elkader Register, Thur., 20 Sept. 1894. Elkport column.

Mrs. William Ratch, aged 65 years, died Wednesday morning, Sept. 19, of heart failure. The deceased was the wife of Wm. Ratch and had been a respected resident of Elkport for many years. The bereaved husband has the sympathy of our entire community. The funeral will take place Friday at one o'clock p.m. May she rest in peace.

Note: Elizabeth Ratch, 1st w/o William Ratch, has a gravestone in Immanuel Lutheran cemetery.
