Nellie Elizabeth Griffin was born at Strawberry Point on Thursday, July 22, 1859, and died July 23, 1894, at 5:10 p.m., aged 35 years and 1 day. Deceased was married to Daniel T. Davis on Feb. 19, 1880. Two children came from their union, Anna Marion and Elmer Ben. On Aug. 16, 1883, Mr. Davis died, leaving Nellie with two small children. On Sept. 29, 1884, little Marion was taken suddenly ill and departed from friends on earth to join her father in those happy realms above. Of this first family but Mrs. Davis and Elmer Ben were now left. On Nov. 28, 1888, Mrs. Davis married her second husband, Mr. Frank Connor, who, with a little son and daughter, and her son, Elmer Ben, survives her. Mrs. Connor has been sick for some time with that dread disease consumption. She had many friends who, with her relatives, mourn her loss. The funeral was held on Wednesday, July 25th, at the house, Rev. Buck officiating.
