Elkader Register, Thur., 07 June 1894. Littleport column.

A young child from near Edgewood, by the name Turin, was buried here Monday. It died of scarlet fever and we understand there are several more cases in the family.

Undertaker Kircher was called to Edgewood Tuesday to take charge of a funeral, in which one of Mr. Thurn's children died of scarlet fever. This is the second child that Mr. Thurn has lost and he has two more that are down with that dreaded disease.
