Elkader Register, Thur., 26 Apr. 1894. Local columns. From the Guttenberg News, undated.
Last week, Wm. Lundt, living three miles south of town, buried three children having died of scarlet fever. Willie, a four-year-old boy, died April 8, a little girl of 20 months, died on the 12th, and a boy 7 years old on the 14th. The oldest, a boy of 15, was also a victim of the disease, but is considered out of danger. This is the only case of scarlet fever that occurred in our vicinity this winter, and it is one of a very sad nature. - Guttenberg News.
