At Clayton Center, on the 14th and 15th, the family of Albert Schleoelbein* was visited by the grim messenger and two children carried off, Harvey Carl, aged 2 years, and Elmer John, 3 years old. The sympathy of all must go out to the unfortunate parents.

Note: The parents Albert & Mary (Heiden) Schievelbein's gravestone in Zion Lutheran cemetery spells surname as SCHIEVELBEIN. More than likely Harvey & Elmer are also buried there.
