Evangeline C. "Dolly" Georgeson

Evangeline C. "Dolly" Georgeson, 64, Mauston, Wis., formerly of New Lisbon, died Tuesday, January 27, 2004, at her home in Mauston, after a short illness.

Dolly was born August 10, 1939, in Monona, Iowa, the daughter of Ingvold and Clara (Goeke) Larson. She was raised by her aunt and uncle, Bill and Laura Riedel, in New Lisbon, along with their children, Wanda and Lorna and Lorna's son, Sherrill Murphy, who were like her own family.

Dolly married Charles Lawrence Georgeson on June 12, 1965, at Bethany Lutheran Church, New Lisbon. She dedicated half of her life to baby-sitting and raising children from throughout the community. Dolly received her nurse's assistant degree from WWTC. Her favorite pastimes were fishing, going for long car rides in the country, and doing crossword puzzles. Most of all, she loved spending time with her four grandchildren, Joshua, age 21; Matthew, age 18; Andy, age 15; and Amanda, age 12. They meant everything to her.

Dolly is survived by her husband, Charles of Mauston; daughter, Laudean (Russ) Enderle and their children, Joshua and Matthew of South Beloit, Ill.; son Randy and his children, Andy and Amanda of Mauston; brothers, Lawrence (Joann) Larson, and Melvin and Norman Larson, all of Iowa; and cousins, Sherrill, Wanda, and Lorna.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ingvold and Clara Larson; her aunt and uncle, Bill and Laura Riedel; half-sister Connie; and brother Virgil Larson.

She will be missed by all who have known her, however her suffering is now over and she is at peace. Funeral services were held Friday, January 30 at Bethany Lutheran Church in New Lisbon. Rev. Gregory Daher presided. Private interment of her cremains was at a later date.
