Elkader Register, Thur., 5 Nov. 1891. Garnavillo column.

Died on Tuesday, Oct. 27, at his home in National, Franz Auer, Sr. The deceased was one of the oldest settlers in this township, where he lived until a few years ago when he removed to National, and made his home with a daughter, Mrs. Kraul. His remains were buried at the Catholic cemetery on Thursday.
