Elkader Register, Thur., 15 Oct. 1891. Local column.

DIED - At the home of her parents in Waukon, Iowa, Susie, the 12 year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. S. Patterson, formerly of this county. The little one was taken sick some time ago with malarial fever, and on Saturday last passed from the suffering of earth to the peace of the hereafter. The funeral was held on Monday, her remains being interred in the Patterson cemetery, in Wagner township. A large number of relatives and old time neighbors of Mr. and Mrs. Patterson were present to tender their sympathies to the sorrowing parents.
