On Wednesday, September 16th, 1891, occurred the death of Grace Ethel, the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Welch, of this place, at the age of 17 months. The little one was sick only a few hours, and death came so suddenly that the parents were unprepared for the bereavement which has come upon them. They have the deep sympathy of their many friends in this time of sorrow. The funeral services were held at their residence Thursday. Rev. H. Williams preached the brief discourse. Mrs. Welch's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Smith and family, of Lamont, were present. The remains were followed to their last resting place by a large concourse of friends.
