Elkader Register, Thur., 06 Aug. 1891. Littleport column.

Patrick Wiley, another old settler, died at Edgewood, August 1, 1891. The funeral services were held at the Catholic church on Monday, and was very large. He leaves and aged wife and a large family of grown-up children to mourn for him.

(Note: WPA records indicate Patrick Wiley, 1811 - 1891, buried in Sacred Heart cemetery.)
