DIED - June 20, 1891, at the home of her parents near this place, Dessie Oldham, aged 14. She had been sick but a few days with scarletina, and on Saturday was walking about the house when she was suddenly taken sick with lung fever and despite all medical aid and kind friends "like a flower of the field she was cut down." Dessie was an exceptionally bright and intelligent girl. She was beloved by all who knew her and was a favorite at school. She will be sadly missed by her school mates. The parents have the sympathy of the entire community in their sad bereavement. Funeral services were held in the U.B. church.
