Elkader Register, Thur., 16 Apr. 1891. Local column.

DIED - At the residence of George Herterich, Elkader, on Friday, April 10th, 1891, of apoplexy, Henry William Kohlschak. Deceased was a native of Prussia, where he was born in 1804, consequently he was in his 88th year at the time of his death.

He came to Clayton county about thirty years ago, and his wife died soon afterwards, since which time he has made his home with his daughter, Mrs. George Herterich.

One other child, a son, is supposed to be living, but his whereabouts are unknown.

The funeral took place on Sunday last from the M.E. church, Rev. F. W. Seifert officiating, and was largely attended. The Elkader Gesangverein was present in a body, and furnished the vocal music.
