Elkader Register, Thur., 16 Apr. 1891. Volga column.

DIED - In Volga, Thur., April 9, 1891, Mrs. Sarah Davidson, aged 80 years. She was a native of Virginia, with her parents she came to Ohio when a young girl, where she was afterward married to Gilbert Davidson in 1834. They moved to Iowa in Oct. 1856, settling in Sperry Twp., Clayton Co. The funeral took place from the M.E. church, Saturday at 10 a.m.; Rev. H. Williams preached the funeral sermon. Interment was made in the Volga cemetery. May she rest in peace.
