Elkader Register, Thur., 19 Mar. 1891. Local column.

At the home of Claus Clauson, in Wagner township, on March 11th, 1891, occurred the death of Sever Olsen*, of heart disease and dropsy, at the age of 72 years. Deceased was born in Numedahl, Norway, and came to this country about 35 years ago. During the rebellion he enlisted in Co. I of the 43d Wis. Inft., and served this country faithfully. The funeral services were held at the Norwegian church in Wagner, on March 13th, Rev. Eggen, of Decorah, officiating. Mr. Olsen leaves a family of grown-up children and many friends to mourn his loss.
