Frederick Schrunk, one of the oldest settlers of Clayton county, died on Friday last, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Harriet Friedlein, in Mallory township. Deceased was a native of Germany, but had been a resident of Iowa since 1848. He enjoyed the confidence and esteem of all who were acquainted with him.
