Elkader Register, Thur., 12 Feb. 1891. Elkport & Vicinity column.

DIED - February 7, 1891, James McDonald, of Volga township, aged 99 years. Mr. McDonald was born in Scotland and emigrated to this country about thirty-five years ago, all of which time he was a resident of Volga township. He was known as an honest and upright man. The funeral took place Tuesday, and was largely attended.
