Elkader Register, Thur., 12 Feb. 1891. Strawberry Point column.

Mrs. Allen, one of the earliest settlers of this county, died at the home of her son, J. M. Allen, in this city, on February 4th, 1891. She was 90 years of age. She was highly respected by all who knew her, and will be greatly missed by her numerous friends.

Note: The 1860 U.S. census enumerated Eliphalet Allen & his wife Sarapta, with their sons Jefferson & Frances, living in Cass twp., Strawberry Point
