Elkader Register, Thur., 22 Jan. 1891. Elkport column.

Died, Sunday, January 18th, 1891, of old age, Mrs. Mary A. Studebaker, wife of W. Studebaker, of Mallory township, aged about 70 years. Mrs. Studebaker has been sick for a number of months, and it was only a question of time when her illness would prove fatal. Mr. and Mrs. Studebaker have been residents of Mallory township for a great many years, and during the time have won the respect and love of their neighbors. The aged husband has the sympathy of hosts of friends in his hour of affliction. The funeral took place on Tuesday and was very largely attended by neighbors and friends.

On Sabbath last occurred the death of Mary A. Studebaker, after a long sickness. The funeral was held at the U.B. church on Tuesday the 18th, Revs. Frothergill and McNamee officiating, after which her remains were laid at rest in Brown's cemetery.
