Death - It pains us to announce the death on Friday last, of our fellow citizen and friend, Le Grand Olmsted, of Monona, Clayton Co.
The deceased was born in Vermont; he was one of the pioneers of Clayton County. He leaves a large connection to mourn his death.
The Masonic order, of which he was a worthy member, followed the remains of their brother to the grave on Sunday last.

DIED. At his residence, near Monona, Clayton County, Iowa on the 16th of November, La Grand Olmsted.
The deceased was born in Connecticut, Nov. 12th, 1797, and died at the age of 61. His father removed to Franklin Co., Vermont when the subject of this notice was a boy, and in 1850 deceased moved with his family to Monona, Iowa, where he has since resided.
He was a worthy member of the Masonic Fraternity and he was buried with the honors of the order.
