Winters, Sarah (Preston) died 1858

WINTERS, PRESTON

DIED, at her residence, Aug. 16, 1858, in Monona, Mrs. Sarah Winters, aged 67 years.

In this dispensation of Providence a family is called to mourn the loss of a kind mother and sister, and the community a worthy member. She was truly a practical Christian and one whose example is worthy of Imitation. Tho' called suddenly away, she was prepared to approach her grave like one who "wraps the drapery of his couch about him and lies down to pleasant dreams."

Note: Her maiden name was PRESTON, she was the w/o Jacob Winters a War of 1812 veteran. They are buried in the Monona City cemetery
