Elkader Register, Thur., 20 Sept. 1923. Volga colum.
It was with sorrow that the word was passed around that D. L. Adams, or Dave as he was called, had passed away Monday morning at 4 o'clock. He had submitted to an operation over a week ago and his friends were hoping for a recovery. But on Saturday he grew so much worse they knew he could not recover. He will be greatly missed not only by his immediate family but by the entire community. They all join in sympathy with the family.
