Gertrude Bernice Cummings, the second daughter of Thomas W. and Sarah Cummings was born July 26th, 1883, and passed away Aug. 9, 1923, making her 40 years, 14 days old at the time of her death. She was united in marriage to Orrin Walters Dec. 25th, 1902. She is survived by her husband and two sons, Kent and Eldo, both at home, an aged father, three brothers and three sisters. At an early age she united with the church and has always been a faithful worker, always lending a helping hand to those in need. Mrs. Walter's will not only be missed in the home, where the comfort of her loved ones was ever her first thought, but in the community as well. Funeral was held Saturday at the Methodist church, Rev. Crumb officiating. Interment in Hill Crest cemetery.
