The death of John Schug occurred Sunday morning after a lingering illness. During his many years of sickness he suffered a great deal of pain but endured his sufferings as well as he could and his faithful wife was always at his side. He was always inquiring about others that were sick. Funeral services occurred this afternoon (Tuesday) at the Lutheran church conducted by his pastor, Rev. Fritschel. Besides his heart-broken wife and three daughters, Mrs. Lydia Waldron of West Union, Elizabeth and Elaine at home, he leaves his aged mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Schug, and four sisters and three brothers, Mrs. Mary Theisinger and Mrs. Rose Lieba of Sumner, Mrs. Liza Sauerbry of Waverly and Miss Lena Schug of Strawberry Point. Pete Schug and Chas. Schug of Strawberry Point and Albert Schug of Arlington, also one granddaughter, little Jean Waldron of West Union, besides other relatives and friends to mourn the passing away of a good man.
