Mrs. George Hafel [sic] died at her home here Saturday morning after giving birth to a child which proceeded her to the grave two days before. Mrs. Hafel was Katherine Dean before her marriage to George Hafel. She was 43 years of age and always lived near here. She is survived by husband and children as follows: John, Thomas, Phillip, Bertha, Katherine, Rosemary. She also leaves three sisters, Mrs. John Stickford of Potosi, Wis., Mrs. Theo, Glockner off Dubuque, Mrs. Minnie Ott of Preston, Minn. Three brothers and Charley William Dean of this place and Joseph of Clayton. The funeral was held Monday morning at ten o'clock from St. Joseph's Catholic church here.
