William “Bill” Robert Kelly, 49, of St. Olaf, Iowa died Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at his home. William was born June 11, 1972 to Roger and Linda (Meana) Kelly in Waukon, Iowa.
Bill worked for B &R Construction, helped on a farm and also worked for Canadian Pacific Railroad for over twenty years. He enjoyed camping, tubing, sitting around a campfire, hunting, fishing and four wheeling. He was a collector of “things” including coins and tractors. Bill liked to watch sailing and farm shows.
Surviving Bill are his seven siblings, Kim Kelly of Dubuque, Iowa, Cheryl (Brian) Rodenberg of McGregor, Iowa, Bonnie (Rodney Cook, fiance’) Kelly of Giard, Iowa, Frank (Sara) Kelly of St. Olaf, Iowa, Sarah (Marvin) Walters of McGregor, Iowa, Christopher Kelly of St. Olaf, Iowa and Rebecca Kelly of St. Olaf, Iowa; eleven nieces and nephews and twelve great-nieces and great-nephews.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Roger and Linda Kelly; one sister, Lisa Kelly; maternal grandparents, Lloyd and Dorothy Meana and his paternal-grandparents, John and Clara Kelly.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 pm with a scripture service at 4:00 pm on Friday, November 12, 2021 at Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service in McGregor, Iowa. There will also be a one hour visitation before Mass at the church on Saturday.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at St. Mary Catholic Church in McGregor, Iowa with Rev. Chris Podhajsky as the celebrant.
Inurnment will be held at a later date.
Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service of McGregor, Iowa is assisting the family with arrangements.
