After an illness lasting several months, S. M. Stalnaker, of Littleport, passed away last Saturday afternoon. His daughter, Mineva, who is a student in the Elkader High school, was called home that day by the sad event. Mr. Stalnaker has been a long time resident of Clayton county, and was very well and favorably known by a large number of the people. His funeral took place Tuesday afternoon.
