Elkader Register & Argus, Thur., 07 Mar. 1918. Fairview and Advent column.

The funeral services of Mrs. Grant Lovett were conducted from the fairview church on Sunday, March 3rd. Rev. Riggs, the pastor, had charge, assisted by Rev. Strother Hansel. Mrs. Lovett had been ill over five months with acute diabetes. The body was accompanied here by the husband, from Berlin, N.D., where he is one of the leading business men of the town. Mrs. Lovett was born in Elkport in 1889 and lived there until the marriage to Mr. Lovett in 1909. Since that time their home was in Berlin, N.D. Mrs. Bertha Wenkstern and two sons came from Toledo, Iowa, to be present at the funeral. The church was well filled for the services. Mr. Schnepf, the genial Garber undertaker, had charge of the remains. Interment was in the Brown cemetery.

(Note: WPA records indicates Carolyn Lovett, 1889 - 1918, buried in Brown cemetery. The relationship of Mrs. Wwenkstern is unknown.)
