Mrs. Fred Dunker died last Tuesday evening at the home of Mr. ad Mrs. Paul Schweikert, where she and her aged husband had been making their home for the past two years. Mrs. Dunker was nearly 91 years of age, being born in Shwerin, Germany on the 8th day of February, 1827. She was married to her husband in 1865 and came to this country in 1872, making her home in Ohio for several years then coming to Elkport, where Mr. Dunker engaged in farming, retiring about 12 years ago. The couple never had any children and the aged widower is the only one left to mourn her death. The funeral was held on Thursday at the Lutheran church and interment in the Lutheran cemetery. The pall bearers were: Fred Lund, Wm. Koehn, Henry Haack, Chas Zittergruen, Wm. Meyer, A. C. Reuschel and Henry Plagman.
