On Sunday evening, Oct. 28th, the ten months old son of Mr. and Mrs. P. J. Doody passed away after a very brief illness. Daniel Russell Doody was born Jan. 9th, 1917, the day after his grandfather Russell's birthday, and passed away Oct. 28th, the day after his grandfather's funeral. Thus the oldest and youngest in the family were taken within one week and both suddenly. Mrs. Doody was just able to be about, after a very serious operation, and this double bereavement called out the deepest sympathy of the entire community in her behalf. Her sisters, who had attended their father's funeral on Saturday remained and were present at little Daniel's funeral Tuesday morning. Father McNamara, of St. Patrick's Catholic church, said mass and delivered the funeral address.
