Henry Waterman, one of our prominent farmers, died at his home on Sunday evening at 6:00 o'clock, at the age of 51 years. Mr. Waterman was an honest and upright citizen and leaves, besides his wife and family, a large number of friends who will miss him. He was buried on Wednesday at the Lutheran cemetery and the funeral was largely attended. Mr. Waterman was a member of the M.B.A.

Henry Waterman was born in Elk township of Feb. 15, 1866, and was confirmed in the Lutheran church, of which he was a member, on April 8, 1881. On the 15th of February, 1893, he was married to Miss Emma Wille, who survives him. To the happy union eleven children were born, viz., Amanda, Fred, Tena, Freda, Clarence, Arnold, Lawrence, Edna, Erma, Ida and Alvin, the baby, all living except Clarence, who preceded his father in death. The deceased leaves four sisters, Mrs. Louise Fritz, Mrs. Henry Boehm, Mrs. Adolph Krieg and Mrs. Henry Willa, and three brothers, Wm. Waterman, of Littleport, C. C. Waterman, of Elkport, and John Waterman, of Forman, N.D., to mourn his untimely death, which was caused by diabetes, from which he had suffered for some time. Mr. Waterman was an honest and upright citizen and leaves none but friends. He was a member of the M.B.A. lodge of Elkport where he held a benefit certificate for $1000.00 . The funeral was held on Wednesday at the Lutheran church at Elkport, Rev. H. Fritschel, of Strawberry Point, officiating and the funeral was largely attended.
