Elkader Register & Argus, Thur., 18 Oct. 1917.

Waldemar Xavier Krasinsky, son of Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Krasinsky, was born in Garnavillo on July 8, 18_0, and died on Oct. 10, 1917, at Fair View Hospital, in Minneapolis, Minn.

His boyhood days were spent at home, receiving his education in our public schools. Later he went to St. Paul, Minn., where he began the study of telegraphy. He began as an operator in Estherville, Iowa. While here in 1906 he was united in marriage to Mary Hanson. Later he went to Twin Brooks, S.D., where he remained for seven years. For the past two years he has been stationed at Chanhassen, Minn., but owing to ill health he was obliged to discontinue work. He sought medical aid at Fair View hospital in Minneapolis, Minn., where he was a patient for seven weeks. About a week before his death he submitted to an operation. For a time his condition seemed favorable but his prolonged illness had so weakened his body that he was unable to withstand the shock. Death relieved him of his suffering at noon on Wednesday, October 10th. The remains arrived Thursday afternoon and on Friday at one o'clock the funeral services were held at St. Paul's church, Rev. Braun officiating.

He is mourned by his wife, his parents, one sister, Mrs. Frank Barnhouse, of Wilmette, Ill., and two brothers Hugo, of South St. Paul, Minn., and Baldwin, of Garnavillo, besides many relatives and friends. The out-of-town attendants were Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Krasinsky, of South St. Paul, Minn., Chris and Emil Hanson, of Estherville, Iowa, and Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Geraghty, of Elkader, Iowa.
