Elkader Register & Argus, Thur., 20 Sept. 1917. Local New Notes column.

Mrs. Chas. Mecklenberg died at her home in Castalia Saturday night and the remains were brought to Elkader Wednesday evening. Burial will take place this afternoon at Clayton Centre, Rev. Athenstaadt officiating. Her maiden name was Miss Louisa Koch, the daughter of Peter Koch, of Boardman Grove. She is survived by her husband and two children.
