Elkader Register & Argus, Thur., 07 Jun. 1917. Monona column.

Lydia Kuhn, nee Grueneisen, was born July 14, 1882, near Plymouth, Wis., and died June 4, 1917, at her home near Volney, Iowa.

One year ago she became the wife of Philip Kuhn. On April 19th there came to this home a little baby girl and since that time the mother has never recovered her health. The young father and babe received much sympathy in the loss which they have sustained and which they feel so keenly. Mrs. Kuhn is also mourned by a father, three sisters, three brothers and many relatives and friends.

Rev. P. F. Walter, of Monona, of the Evangelical church, officiated at the home, where a brief service was held Tuesday morning. The remains were then taken to Monona and from there to Plymouth, Wis., for burial.

Prior to the service at the home the infant daughter was baptized by Rev. P. F. Walter.
