Mrs. Christina Kriese died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jos. Kainz, on Tuesday last, and was buried at the Lutheran cemetery on Saturday, Rev. W. Paulsen officiating. Mrs. Kriese was born at West Preusen, Germany, on the 15th of November, 1844, and was married in the year 1862 to Christoph Kriese, who preceded her in death twenty-six years. The deceased leaves to mourn her loss, one son, John, and three daughters, Mrs. Caroline Kruse, Mrs. Malinda Putzier and Mrs. Marie Kainz, one brother, Wm. Hartmann, and two sisters, Mrs. August Fritz and Mrs. Caroline Ruckdashel. The funeral was largely attended. May she rest in peace.
